Marie W. Brownell’s Summary

Being in the insurance industry for over 30 years I have seen many changes. I still smile when I think of the first day we faxed a document from the office and wondered how that worked. Times have really moved forward and now most of my daily work depends heavily on computers, which I have disagreements with constantly.

I started my career in the life insurance industry for MetLife but quickly branched out to the Property & Casualty field. Here I have stayed for the bulk of my career.

In my 40's I felt I needed a change in career so I went back to college and earned my Masters of Education from SNHU. I very much wanted to teach high school students the value of knowing personal finances early. Alas with no teaching experience and too much education, if that is possible, I priced myself out of the career ... not to mention I turned the dreaded 50!

I am back now in insurance full time and keeping myself challenged by opening an office in Hampton, NH. As for goals, I look forward to making this office successful while keeping our Derry office profitable. I do a great deal of networking and I am striving to get to know as many business people as I can.
