As a technical lead at CoreFiling, I led the development of one of our core products alongside working as an XBRL consultant and editor of the Table Linkbase specification.
I worked on one of our headline products, helping to bring the product to maturity.
I worked developing the tools and infrastructure necessary to enable product development.
I developed and delivered a number of PHP retail websites which provide the core revenue stream for the business. I gained experience working with stakeholders and contributors within and external to the business in order to meet marketing, SEO and PCI requirements.
I helped to improve internal systems (Largely Java and Python) to manage the core business processes. I also helped to plan longer term technical strategy.
I gained experience hiring and managing developers and outsourced services (not limited to software development).
A varied role, working mainly with VC++ and VB.
Contract work over a number of years with tasks ranging from IT support (desktop and networking) to lotus notes database development. This involved a number of projects managing task management processes within the business.
An opinion piece on how the new Table Linkbase specification extends the reach of existing XBRL standards to the closed form reporting required by new regulations; in particular for CRD IV.
The Table Linkbase Specification adds a much needed mechanism for describing a definitive arrangement of an XBRL taxonomy into tables. The Table Linkbase plays a vital role as both a closed-form reporting counterpart to iXBRL and a dimensional cousin of the presentation linkbase.
