Jon Alleman’s Summary

I currently work at Grant Thornton ("GT"). At GT I've had a lot of great opportunities to see a wide array of accounting issues. I work on the majority of our large corporate clients in the Salt Lake office. Currently I review complex tax returns as well as work on FAS 109 projects. I also manage one of our larger clients, a group of about 50 partnerships. I also senior all the work on one of our other larger groups of partnerships that performs a large portion of real estate development in Utah. Overall, I have a broad range of experience in S and C Corps, Partnerships, and Individuals.

I am currently interested in gaining more experience with FAS 109 and FIN 48. If an opportunity came along that offered more transaction advisory type work, I'd love to do that. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of this type of work in Salt Lake. However, I'm definitely open to moving, especially if it were to Southern California (where I grew up).

I'm also open to careers in finance/accounting/sales/services that have a more direct link between pay and performance even if this means a total career change. I'm open to career opportunities in the western US, particularly southern California, and a few select cities in the eastern US.

My goals are quite simple. I want to be the best at what I do and I want to be happy.
