In February 2006 I set up my own IT training company and I am currently working at a freelance instructor teaching courses for Alterian (Mediasurface Morello) and Oracle (BEA Systems courses).

Mediasurface develops, markets and implements software that helps businesses take full advantage of the capabilities of the web by transforming the complex task of managing websites into straightforward activities. Morello has changed the face of content management and is used to power sophisticated intranets, extranets, websites and other digital channels for enterprise clients. Pepperio is a one-stop-shop package for SME’s allowing smaller businesses to easily run a professionally designed website for a low fixed monthly fee.
Responsible for the Education department in the UK, I also ran courses for the US office. I learnt the concepts of Content Management very quickly and taught many of the courses within one month of arrival. I rewrote many of the courses to make them more comprehensive and professional. I put in place a course schedule and ran promotions to boost training revenue.

Lead UK instructor and one of only 6 EMEA instructors. Responsible for creating the six monthly schedule of public scheduled courses and manage instructor allocation for on-site courses. I managed external and introduced a robust instructor assessment process. Managed the UK Education Website and in-house classrooms.
Presented at the 2004 Dev2Dev days, BEAs developer conference, in IMAX theatres in London, Stockholm and The Hague. Also presented an online webinar of the conference.
Consistently received excellent evaluations for technical training and customers often requested me to return.
Assessed and contributed to new and updated courses that were released by US courseware development team. Responsible for the Final Acceptance Test of many courses before release.
Liaised with clients to discuss course requirements and propose customised courses. Pioneered Training Needs Analysis process in EMEA.
