NewsAlerts.com.au is a semantically aware online media monitoring service that instantly sends an email alert when an ASX listed company is mentioned in the press. Geoffrey bought the python/XMLRPC based technology from a colleague in May 2007. Quickly commercialising the opportunity, NewsAlerts continued to grow to over 2,200 active users at which point it was sold 18 months after purchase. Xentech Web Solutions is an internet marketing and web programming firm founded by Geoffrey Kwitko and his brother Andrew. Xentech Web’s unique strength is providing technically advanced web strategies that made solid business sense.
As well as providing ongoing high level leadership to the programming staff, Geoffrey also led the XenLabs R&D division with over 15 international technology consultants from 5 diverse countries. At the 16 month mark Geoffrey sold his share in Xentech Web following the successful negotiation of a major programming contract with a financial institution.
