Ej Icatar has been providing professional IT Delivery Services in the financial sector for 9 years with 12 years of total experience. Initially starting out working in the Americas call center at UBS, he transitioned to Desktop Support on the trading floor, establishing ITIL-based methodologies and providing root cause analysis.
After 5 years, transitioning out of the IT realm, he assisted the firm to establish and expand its global business offshoring initiative, through the use of alternate computing technologies, including as Citrix and VMWare. In this analyst role he managed the fiscal budget, project managed infrastructure upgrades, and liaised with engineering and systems support groups to scale the virtualization desktop infrastructure (VDI) from 13 to 130 ESX hosts, which supported a total of 5000 VDIs.
Along the way, he leveraged his customer oriented skills to implement workflows and processes to best service the customers’ requirements while increasing their ROI, through extensive market analysis.
