  While at eonBusiness, an e-commerce dot com, I was in charge of the UI team’s design and code integration into our line of e-commerce websites. I worked in a 2-week agile environment which enabled our team to keep ahead of developers. I was in charge of identifying usability issues in our agile work flow that would impede the progress of our sprints.
  
  I was responsible for creating visually impacting, easy-to-use user interfaces. While there, I helped to conduct usability studies to better understand user needs and how they interacted with the websites. This had a direct impact on the design as we had to correct initial designs to that of what users wanted.
  
  Additionally, I was responsible for working with Business Analysts to design and implement good SEO practices, both in design and code. This is critical in an extremely competitive field of search results.

  I was involved in managing the new media team in researching, designing and implementing web applications for our advertising-driven line of newspaper sites (Rockymountainnews.com and Denverpost.com / combined traffic of 20 million page views a month).
  
  I was responsible for coding our web applications using ASP, PHP, Cold Fusion, Flash and SQL Server. This enabled me to not only design the web applications, but code them and launch them as well. In 2004, I was promoted to Senior Interactive Producer which enabled me to manage our design/developer team through the entire process of application creation, from research to implementation. On occasion, I went on sales calls to meet with potential advertisers explaining what we had to offer in our online portfolio and the process/timeline of events that we would need to take to get to the finished product.
  
  I was also involved in the creation/development of interactive applications using video and flash.

  This was my first job after graduating the University of Colorado. This was also a startup dot com company. My role there was to maintain code and design user interfaces for our biggest client, JVC electronics. This job was shortly lived due to the fact that the company folded shortly after the dot com bust in 2001. I was fortunate to see this coming and started work at the Denver Newspaper Agency before this happened.
