I have an extensive background that has given me a broad exposure to all fiscal operations and their inter-departmental relationships. It has also developed my oral and written communication skills, with all levels of the workforce.

I have written, designed, trained, and implemented new policies and procedures throughout the various disciplines including Accounting, Treasury, Human Resources, IT, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, Purchasing, etc in my previous Controller / HR Manager positions.

My responsibilities have and currently encompass not only the Financial departments (Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Accounting & Reporting) but also included those employees handling the Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Receiving & Shipping areas. I have often been called upon to act in place of the General Manager or City Manager including being highly involved in all aspects of business from Human Resources to the Business Plan to writing bills-of-material and routings to grant processings to the selling of Bonds and working with the underwriters.

    In 9/22/08 I formed my own company, davis web resources, to keep me busy and use my skills that I acquired creating web sites for the non-profits I am associated with and belong to.

    I have been looking for a full time position in Michigan in the Accounting / Finance field as that is where my background is and since I was laid off from Timco in February '09. I am a CPA and maintain my license although most of my past experience as been in manufacturing, government, and non-profit after the initial 2 1/2 years in public auditing with Deloitte and Touche.

    Went to TEC (Oscoda, MI) to help with Inventory problems and mentor the accounting staff and then the plan was to move to Pittsburgh and open it. I would then be the Engine Center's Controller. Pittsburgh didn't happen and lost all staff but 1 clerk and found the records were a mess.

    Designed and Implemented internal controls in the Accounting and Materials departments / including shipping and receiving.
    Updated the recordkeeping and got all reporting accurate and timely and procedures set so that would happen each and every month / day / wk/ etc.

    Then the Controllers at the remaining 3 locations were let go and the Finance Reporting was moved to Corporate Offices. My 1 acctg clerk remains in Oscoda to process AP / and AR.
