Chris Yoko founded Yoko Consulting in early 2009 with the intention of truly partnering with his clients, and providing them performance driven marketing. Marketing that has visible, tangible results.
He started his first company at the age of 18, Yoko Investments, a small real estate venture he used to aid him in paying for college at George Mason University. It was while growing this business that Chris got his first taste of practical marketing and coupling it with his sales process. After three years of growing the company, and some personal reflection, Chris decided to leave the real estate industry and sold the company.
While Chris changed industries he never lost the enjoyment he got from managing marketing and sales campaigns. His career is rich with over eight years of experience in marketing and advertising, from working with traditional mediums like radio, tv and direct response to interactive and mobile media. Chris’ understandings of both traditional and interactive media, and how to unite them, provide him with a unique perspective that allows him to maximize the return generated through the marketing and sales. His expertise has been quoted in a number of media outlets including MSNBC and the Washington Post.
Chris’ clientele has included Fortune 500 companies such as Philips, the WWE, Best Buy and Palm Beach Tan. It also includes local chains, startups and sports organizations; Hard Times Café and The Washington Capitals. He has also worked with international charities and nonprofit organizations such as Inova and Leadership Africa USA.
Chris studied marketing and economics at George Mason University. He also serves on the Inova Blood Donor Services Development Board as well as the Charity Hockey Classic Committee. Additionally he is an avid hockey player and fan as well as a coach for novice and first time hockey players.
