Now at the mid-point of her career, Alexandra York draws from her multi-faceted background to focus on speaking engagements, fiction writing, articles and essays concerning American culture and the arts. Along with being an internationally published author, she is the Founding President of "American Renaissance for the Twenty-first Century" (ART). ART is a New-York-based nonprofit educational foundation dedicated to promoting a rebirth of beauty and life-affirming values in all of the fine arts via publications and the production of various art exhibits and projects. ART sponsors exhibits, events and art that furthers the values of established Western art forms.

She is the author of many nonfiction books. One of her books was chosen as a Book-of-the-Month Club selection. Her novel, CROSSPOINTS, (English, 2004; Russian, 2007) will come out in worldwide Spanish translation in 2010.

As a writer her articles, essays, movie and book reviews, poems, short stories, etc. have appeared in such publications as Reader’s Digest (Domestic/Intl), Vital Speeches, USA Today, Vogue, New Woman, Chronicles, The Humanist, The Intellectual Activist, Imprimis, American Arts Qtrly and American Artist.

Her books have been sold in the USA, England, Australia, Mexico, South America, Canada and Russia. Publishers have included Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, Van Nostrand, Ballantine and Berkley-Jove.

Her author-related TV appearances include guesting on numerous talk shows, including "The Today Show," "Larry King Live," "To Tell the Truth," "AM New York," "AM Los Angeles," "AM Philadelphia," "Wake-Up Houston," and ABC's "Eyewitness News." In addition to TV and hundreds of radio shows, her interviews have appeared in Navigator Magazine, the on-line Atlas Society organization and others.

Alexandra has lectured extensively at Town Hall Celebrity Series and is often a featured speaker at private organizations, corporations, and universities.

Alexandra received the 1997 Whiting Memorial Award for outstanding service to the cultural world from the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry, later being elected as one of three Mentors for that organization. In 1992, she received the McFarlane Award for best Editor of a Rolls-Royce motor car magazine, The Atlantic Lady. She is an invited member of both The Authors' Guild and The National Arts Club, the latter for which she serves on the Literary Committee. She also serves on the Advisory Council of The Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy and is listed in Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who in America.
