An inspired editorial. I've always loved that Saul Steinberg drawing.

I'm sorry to say that my pile of great professional should-reads sits pretty unattended and growing. However I happened to pick up my latest issue of Contract, happened to read your intro editorial, and happened to read the article directed to from there: The New Whitney. It's been years since I've been (and lived) in New York City and can only imagine how much it's changed. I thought to myself, if I visited Manhattan, I would head to the Whitney and climb those stairs, enter and absorb this new museum in it's grandness and views (as so well illustrated in Contract). New York's sophisticated uniqueness seems clearly reflected in this new museum - it can be a beautiful city, and intense. Your article gave me more to re-know it as such -- anew. Thank you!
