The Springfield Business Development Corporation (SBDC) is the economic development subsidiary of the Springfield (Mo.) Area Chamber of Commerce and its mission is to provide a continued revenue source for the Chamber’s economic development program, assisting new and existing business in the Springfield metro area.

For over 25 years, SBDC has been involved in economic development activities and as a result, the surrounding area has seen tremendous growth. If we expect this growth to continue, we need to devote additional effort and resources towards setting a new course to make sure our area’s economy remains strong. Meaningful opportunities for quality growth will undoubtedly present themselves in the coming years. In order to compete and win, Springfield must continue to position itself to take full advantage of future economic development opportunities through an economic development capital campaign. The purpose of this group is to faciliate networking and information sharing among the SBDC's investor members.
