    Hello. I'm not sure what would wish to accomplish, but I suggest trying the slider from the jQuery UI framework. I have used it to dynamically change CSS properties on web pages and post values via AJAX. It has several options and methods that are timesavers for me.

    The range slider is in the browser, PHP is on the server - can you clarify what you mean by "supports PHP"

    google => jquery slider and there is an ajax example edit it accordint to your need
