Wounded Heroes Foundation's mission and endeavor is to assist the recently severely injured men and women of our Armed Forces serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world. Their traumatic injuries, which include vision and hearing loss, amputations, gunshot wounds, burns and blast tramas, will retire these brave warriors from the very military service that often now defines them. WHF demonstrates love, support and honor by helping to meet their needs and the needs of their families during their difficult recovery time. We do this by offering physical, emotional and support to these Wounded Heroes. Filling in gaps where possible, securing financial assistance when possible, assembling and delivering care packages, and providing recreational opportunities and sometimes travel to enhance a Hero's recovery. These efforts are mere gesures compared to their service. WHF endeavors to insure their American Dream because they have ensured ours. « less
