I donate a portion of sales to various non profits in my clients names upon closing.

I donate 4 hours every Tuesday to SPARCC and work Annual Fashion show at the Ritz, work Habitat home for SAR, donate to Goodwill and Habitat stores. Donate time to other fund raisers during season. After a 30 year career in social work I know what is still needed in our community.

I think that it is great that Realtors donate either their time or money to causes that have a special meaning to them. My real estate brokerage, EXIT Real Estate Gallery, donate a portion of their transaction fee to Habitat to Humanity. I donate my time and have done so for years to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Apopka, FL. Being that I have been a cancer survivor for more than 12 years I feel a need to give back to my community.

Good for you Valerie. I too have given my time, money, and support to various groups that help others - the Goodwill, the Salvation Army (which has helped me in my time of need), Hospice Thrift Stores, Independent Business Owners that are Veterans with Disabilities, and the ASPCA. When we help others, we help ourselves to be better humans, conscious of the needs of others, and we play it forward; giving is far better than receiving. I believe sharing is not only through money, time, and support, it is through our knowledge, skills, and acquired information; thereby, helping others get a "leg up" on life.

Thank you for sharing that Natasha, I have been thinking about doing that and was wondering if it was ok to do.
