We charge $35 for the first site and $30 for each additional site. I have had past success with going through the patients health insurance drug coverage and getting a shipment sent from a pharmacy to our practice and the patient then only has to pay their drug insurance co pay. I have had up to 35 arestin tips sent for one individual and all they had to pay was one co pay. Check with your rep on this program.

Thanks for the help very helpful! We use the arestin RX but not everyone has it. Do u have to charge the same UCR fee of the allowable then do a professional discount for each additional? Or am I Allowed to change my UCR fee on a case to case? Thanks!!!!

I have charged arestin out both per site and per tooth. Per site was $37 and per tooth is now $71. I seam to have better results right now with the per tooth code. Being corporate we are not allowed to go through the pts health ins. But that sure would be nice.

    Karla,
I am not familiar with this process. Do you write the script fr the number of units and Call in to the pharmacy? Does it go thru medical insurance?

Karla- it's called arestin RX. U fax them ur script and a copy of the pt prescription card. They send u a fax saying If the pt has coverage. They collect the copay from pt which is any were from$20-150 bucks. They mail u the arestin and u charge the pt a placement fee instead of the arestin fee

A lot of offices in NYC charge $85 per site. They don't even want to be involved in getting it through pharmacies, health insurances or bother with approvals because they want the money right there.
