The culture of sharing best practice and good communication is important and has been echoed in the recent public discussion and subsequent joint meeting with AIF, the British Safety Council, HSE, IIRSM, IOSH, and RoSPA. This has started to accomplish this ‘joined up’, open approach and key themes are already starting to emerge. They include: behaviour and attitudes, workforce engagement, the avoidance of a tick box approach to training, and improved targeting, especially to SMEs and the domestic sector.

For the first recorded time six of the UK's leading health and safety organisations have convened to discuss, debate and hopefully find a solution to how we can eliminate work at height accidents for ever. This 'cause' has created an adhesion between the organisations to work towards this goal collaboratively, via 'joined up thinking'. Can it be done? Is this just wishful thinking? Or as stated
