    Good stuff; I especially liked the one about taking a faculty member to lunch!
    More seriously, I agree the readers are the most serious contributors to in-class discussions. Generally they reap the rewards with better grades and more respect from both faculty and peers.
    Many of the other suggestions fall under the category of being nice. And there's nothing wrong with being nice.
