This group shares experiences and challenges with Performance Management, Performance Measurement supported by training evaluation and making the business case for development activity.

A CIPD survey from late 2009 showed that up to 80% of UK businesses perceived little or no value from their investments in Performance Management, appraisals and related activity.

Only 20% believed that performance management had a postive impact on the individual and/or the organisation.

This is a truly shocking situation, and one that no self respecting HR director would want to continue.

This group looks at the challenges of creating a high performance culture, delivering training that actually makes a difference, and using technology to engage and support managers rather than frustrate and delay them

Measuring performance is particularly tough, but it can be done. If you can measure performance you can evaluate training, measure talent, promote on potential, define high performance, and a whole raft of other activities that will lead to improved organisational performance. Join the group to get some ideas that will work for you.

Get Performance Management right, and it will transform an organisation. Leave the problems unresolved, and you could be damaging your professional reputation, not to say frustrating your colleagues and pouring money down the drain. So share your experience, learn from others, discover best practices and how you can implement them yourself.

Now more than ever it is critical that HR, Talent Management, OD and L&D can prove their worth in hard numbers. Whatever role you have, if you need to improve Performance Management and Measurement join this group to share ideas and get your job done! « less
