Neal S. • If the Twitter client isn't listed, please put it here in the comments. Thanks!

Patrick M. • I also use Bufferapp. Really good for getting tweets queued while you read your blogs and such.
Neal
Neal S. • Patrick - I also use Buffer, but do you use it as your main Twitter client?
Patrick
Patrick M. • No, but more of my posts come from Buffer. It really depends for me. I manage multiple twitter accounts. But either way, for mine and my corporate one. I use Tweetdeck, Twitter.com, iPhone (now more), and Buffer. Not sure which gets used more, it also depends on what I am doing. Am I consuming tweets, searching for something, posting tweets, replying, I use different items for each thing. Search I use Tweetdeck, posting I use Buffer, Web and Tweetdeck, reading I use the Web/iPhone.

Neal S. • Thanks for the feedback Patrick. Yes, I end up using several different tools as well, but this poll was just to understand what everyone's main Twitter client was. Appreciate all of your comments!
Patrick
Patrick M. • No problem. Anytime.

Phil O. • Hootsuite mixed with lots of other stuff. Unfortunately, it does not support Google+ yet (except in v.expensive edition). Just going to trial Google+ with SGPlus plug-in. Anyone else used that?

Neal S. • Thanks Phil - the objective was really to see what your business uses for Twitter - Social Media Dashboards will be for another poll topic ;-)
You do bring up an important point about G+. Yes, it is not supported by most social media dashboards yet. I have a client who is not active on G+ because of that - and they are making a mistake. It may be ineffcient at the moment, but maintaining a presence on G+ is more important than ever after their recent announcements.

Phil O. • Agree about G+. Should also not forget that care needs to be taken in presentation. I want to see a +address and a bit more chat in a G+ post - and a short sharp message with an @address in a Tweet. Quite a challenge.
By the way, LinkedIn is probably my best "Twitter client" as its effective Twitter filter of my closest contacts gives me most relevant information (and things I RT)

Neal S. • Thanks Phil - and great note about using LinkedIn as a Twitter client. I tend to navigate through content on Twitter using Lists, and LinkedIn allows you to create such a list of your connections on Twitter. Problem with me is that Lists only allow you to have 500 people in them, so I can never get all of my LinkedIn connections into one list ;-(

Lisa J. R. • Thanks, Neal! I love the analytics inside Hootsuite, so now I'm curious as to the benefits of Sprout Social. I'm checking this program out today! What is your favorite Twitter tool?
Maggie
Maggie L. • Marketmesuite
Neal
Neal S. • Thanks Lisa! I have actually gone from TweetDeck (2008) to HootSuite (2009) to CoTweet (2011) to SproutSocial (2012). And, Maggie, MarketMeSuite is the only other one that I have yet to have time to experiment - what about it do you like?
