Since its inception in 1981, the NHCC Foundation department has helped raise the spirit and quality of life by giving money back to students, faculty and the community through scholarships, grants and special programs.

The Foundation department is committed to opening more doors for more students by raising money for scholarships. We aim to re-energize and transform students’ lives through positive experiences at North Hennepin Community College. We are grateful for every donation as they make a college education more possible for our students.

Mission
Our mission is to create access to quality educational opportunities by energizing and mobilizing community, college and alumni resources on behalf of North Hennepin Community College.

Purpose
Our purpose is to raise the spirit and quality of life in the community by providing financial resources for higher education and enhancing the image of NHCC.

Why support North Hennepin Community College Foundation?
•Increasing costs threaten opportunities for students to obtain a college education.
•Each year, more students are burdened with higher and higher debt - their load debt continues to increase.
•State funding has decreased; tuition is on the rise.
•Minnesota has one of the highest college tuition rates in the U.S.

In addition to providing scholarships to students, it is important that NHCC fund programs - these programs allow us to remain competitive and provide excellence in educational opportunities. We cannot do this with state funding alone.

That’s why North Hennepin Community College Foundation turns to individuals, corporations and foundations for help in maintaining the quality of student learning and making the dream of a college education affordable to all students. « less
