New Cycling Safety Product - Feedback Desired!

Grow Your Business Through Strategic & Creative Use of Promotional Products - Your Success is My Business!

I've been working on a product that addresses an urgent safety need in the cycling. It also serves as a terrific marketing tool. I would love to get some much needed feedback!

Don't see those as being new or dealing with an urgent safety need - not when there are things like revolights - http://revolights.com/
But the fact your product come in different sizes and colours may help in that marketspace, good luck.

I'm with Robert, Not new, colored reflective is being done, but could be kinda unique.
I would adjust your pitch a bit to highlight the oppurtunity to "private label" or customize the reflectors.

Pretty safe and cool for kids riding around at night, nice and cheap (maybe you should take some pics of the product "In action".

If I was a commuter, I would go for the "Louder" revolights version as I would be using the bussier roads.

I agree with Rusty, that is some great advice. The real opportunity would be selling to bike shops on a bulk level with custom branded reflectors. It's mandatory that they sell bikes with reflectors on them, if they can add their brand image to that it would be great.

For people who are really looking to stay visible, the revolights are probably going to be their purchase.

Yup! Maybe for you guys in USA it is mandatory to have reflectors but here in South Africa the first thing that happens is the reflectors come off, I have never seen anyone ride with reflectors. Here in Africa we do not sue and get sued for everything, that only happens in 1st world countries where everyone is trying to get money for nothing. Only our government is allowed to do that Haha!
No seriously, these would probably only sell to "Geeky" type kids that are trying to make a statement here in SA.

For serious cyclists here in the US the reflectors are still the first thing to come off. That will happen regardless of location. But the shops in the US still have to put them on, I can only see it benefiting them to have that branded.

Some states actually have laws requiring reflectors. Here in Washington state, a front white light and rear red reflector are required with riding at night. Reflector wars flare up now and again on bikeforums
