NAIOP is the nation's leading trade organization dedicated to representing industrial, office and related commercial real estate. Nationally, NAIOP is comprised of over 14,500 members in over 50 North American chapters. The Research Triangle Chapter of NAIOP was chartered in 1980 by a group of local developers. The Research Triangle Chapter has grown to over 125 members, making it one of the largest chapters in the nation. Governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee, the Research Triangle Chapter offers a full complement of services to its membership. These services include monthly legislative updates, meetings, an annual golf event, mid-year real estate forecasts, promotion of effective public policy, and educational opportunities.
The Research Triangle Chapter’s mission is to represent the interests of the commercial real estate industry in the Triangle area by being the pre-eminent forum for networking, business development, educational opportunities for professional growth, and representation on local, state and national issues. Advance the professional and industry standards;
Advance the interest of our members by engaging in the legislative process at the local/state/national levels and maintaining an effective government action plan;
Enhance and promote the image and public perception of our industry;
Positively impact the environmental, social and economic quality of life in the region;
Share professional ideas for growth; and
Promote a greater understanding of important issues regarding growth, impact fees, zoning, land use, transportation infrastructure and other factors and trends affecting the prosperity of the region.
