Mid Atlantic Diamond Ventures (MADV) assists emerging innovation-based companies acquire funding and build sustainable businesses. MADV prepares companies for investment, helps ensure their investment materials are as defensible and compelling as they can be, and provides networking connections plus coaching around critical aspects of entrepreneurship and building a sustainable business. If companies successfully pass the “MADV process,” including our highly acclaimed coaching sessions, they may present at our forums, and join our growing alumni network. MADV itself does not provide funding, but introduces qualified emerging firms to accredited angel investors and venture capitalists.

Our client companies – predominantly information technology, physical technology or life science – are characterized by proven technologies, large potential markets, capacity for explosive growth, actionable and smart go-to-market strategies, well-structured revenue streams, defensible intellectual properties and proven management teams/advisory boards. More than 70% of MADV clients are based in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Since 2003, 238 companies have been served which have collectively raised over $200M in Series A funding. MADV is a defining program of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute at Temple University which has been recognized consistently for excellence by national ranking and academic organizations.

What emerging firms usually need most is an infusion of capital to accelerate their growth, market their products and services, continue with clinical trials, conduct beta programs, etc. Our process better positions the firm for funding while often increasing the value of the firm at an early and crucial stage. All major angel groups within the Greater Philadelphia region as well as Ben Franklin Technology Partners are sponsors of the program. Many early stage VCs and individual investors also attend MADV forums. « less
