Medical Education Online (MEO) on LinkedIn has been established as an addition forum to support the dissemination of information on the education and training of physicians and other health care professionals. The group is associated with the international, peer reviewed journal Medical Education Online, which was launched in 1996 as the first ever freely available online journal in the field of medical education. Since 1996 the journal has grown to become a highly ranked source of information in this area, with indexing in PubMed/MEDLINE and inclusion in NIH's digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature, PubMed Central. As of 2010, MEO is published by Co-Action Publishing who will also provide free access to the valuable archive.

Topics: Manuscripts on any aspect of the process of educating and training health care professionals will be considered for publication. We welcome papers dealing with but not limited to the following research areas:

- basic science education
- clinical science education
- residency education
- learning theory
- problem-based learning (PBL)
- curriculum development
- research design and statistics
- measurement and evaluation
- faculty development
