The MGI Digital Data Community is a forum created to allow users to share news and discuss technical disciplines and topics related to the Materials Genome Initiative (MGI), particularly focused on the creation and sharing of data. Community members are encouraged to share MGI-related news with one another as well as bring up questions or topics for discussion, especially regarding the data creation, sharing, and management issues that will enable the MGI. This platform is supported by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The MGI was announced by President Obama in June 2011 with the goal of doubling the speed in which we discover, develop, and manufacture new materials. For more information, visit www.whitehouse.gov/mgi. « less
