The LinkedIn Bloggers Group, established in May 2005, is a discussion and networking group focused on blogging and other social media, in the context of professional networking, especially via LinkedIn.

From the outset, the Group aimed to attract (and succeeded in attracting) both newcomers to the field, willing to learn, and people with experience, willing to share. Originally, because LinkedIn Groups was basically a set of restricted sub-directories with no tools for discussion, the Group met on Yahoo! Groups and then subsequently established this presence on LinkedIn Groups.

Then, once LinkedIn Groups became more interactive, we closed discussion on the Yahoo! Groups site (archives are still there for the benefit of researchers and the curious or nostalgic) and moved the discussion here.

We have always followed a strict policy of holding the space for civilized, courteous, if often vigorous, discussion and have always had zero tolerance for spam, including (especially?) posts masquerading as discussion topics but just linking back to the poster's blog.

If you are looking for a group where you can bounce ideas, seek information or even advice on matters to do with professional social networking, we encourage you to check out LinkedIn Bloggers. « less
