The Leo Robbins Sailing Center was established in 1972. In the years since, the staff of the Leo Robbins Sailing Center, with the support of the City of Ventura Community Services Department, the Ventura Maritime Foundation, and the California Department of Boating & Waterways, have created and maintained a U.S. Sailing National Award winning facility.

Classes are taught using a variety of boats ranging from 7 to 30 feet by American Sailing Association and/or U.S. Sailing Association certified instructors.
