I'm looking into car manufacturers websites this morning and what i'm seeing is almost all of them use flash one way or the other. Is this surprising to you too?

    Hi Machiel, I do noticed that myself as well. I supposed those manufacturers aren't really interested in Direct Response Marketing but to "attempt" to create that visual "wow" factor when you visit their site.

    Flash sites are:
    1) Not SEO friendly as we all know it.
    2) Takes ages to load on certain location.
    3) Can be costly to upgrade it.

    I do find myself clicking away from sites built on Flash if the content doesn't load up within 5-7 seconds. Guess what, that's typically how long a website gets to grab a visitors' attention!

    Ya this amused me a bit after searching for the various car manufacturer website, but when I Googleed the keyword then none of the car manufacturer website came in search rather top places have various service providers related to the cars.

    Possibly the people make a decision withing groups which car to buy. I believe the words of mouth publicity works for the cars rather than the SEO!!
