How has your OH/rehab business changed in the last few years?
It would be interesting to find out how your business has changed in the last few years and if these changes have come about due to proactive or reactive thinking, changing conditions or demands, or other reasons.

Simon C. • Within my specialism (stress/mental health) i've noticed a couple of changes, both positive. The message regarding early intervention appears to be getting through to more employers. Increasingly i'm seeing people who are still at work, rather than their employer waiting until they go off sick. I think this is also partly a result of employers acknowledging the cost of presenteeism. Also, there appears to be a real upsurge in interest with the mindfulness approach to stress management. The evidence base for this approach is really starting to build and more employers are seeing this as a good way of supporting their employees during very uncertain times.

Zoe P. • Simon thank you for your post - it's such a wonderful thing to hear some good news for a change. Maybe things such as Ruby Wax's Black Dog tribe initiative and the documentary presented by Andrew Flintoff tonight on BBC1 on sports and depression are examples of media doing good in raising awareness about mental health and thereby educating employers to be more understanding. Mindfulness is really capturing people's imagination too and I feel this can only be a good thing and ultimately help people to manage their own conditions longterm once they've had professional input if necessary.
