It's a brave new world out there for start-ups seeking funding. With banks still hesitant, and VC's being choosy, what's your strategy going to be?

Rasing a start up capital is easier when you have a good idea and a workable business plan.

Agreed, so what other ways? Family and friends? If none of these, then any investor providing an entrepreneur start-up capital for equity is either an angel or.........i leave that to you to fill in the gap. Or are you talking about debt capital or institutional investors providing grants or venture capital?

I'll fill in the gap. An individual can be his/her own angel investor called personal funding. we preach it today in our Institution of higher learning. Encouraging our entrepreneurship students to cultivate the habit of saving.
