FENS Forum 2012 is the 8th biennial conference organised by FENS, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies. With nearly 7000 participants, the FENS Forum has become the largest neuroscience meeting in Europe. The 2012 Forum, to take place in Barcelona on July 14-18, 2012, is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet. With plenary and special lectures, technical workshops and symposia, and a wealth of poster communications, FENS Forum 2012 is a must for neuroscientists from all over the world.

FENS, the represents a large number of national European neuroscience societies and several monodisciplinary societies. FENS was founded in 1998 at the Forum of European Neuroscience in Berlin and is the successor organisation of ENA, the European Neuroscience Association. FENS was founded with the goals of advancing research and education in neuroscience and representing neuroscience research in the European Commission, IBRO, and other granting bodies. FENS is the European partner of the American Society for Neuroscience.
