To be a successful entrepreneur you are going to have to learn to deal with failure. There is no way around it. Thomas Edison tried over ten thousand different experiments before he finally demonstrated the first incandescent light bulb on October 21, 1879. Bill Gates’ first company, Traf-O-Data, was a failure.

Entrepreneurs usually are trying something new so there isn't a roadmap or blueprint for success. I have learned via failures that it is as important, contextually, to understand what doesn't work before you can create a strategy, market or product that does work.

Seeking opportunities as Marketing Project Manager

I would agree- developing resilience is critical. But measured improvement gleaned by your mistakes / learnings is just as key. So many small business owners are afraid to look at themselves with a critical eye.

I have always said to my family & associates "The Goldmines in Life are the Mistakes you make!" They teach you so much, much more than the successes. I feel for those business people who hang onto an idea or strategy for so long trying to prove they are right, even though the signs are that it is not working. The Einstein Theory of Insanity "Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Be strong enough to admit the mistake in your thinking, make changes quickly, and you could save your business.

Personal Trainer at Next Step Personal Training

I just started a personal training studio in my town. I’m not thinking I’m going to make millions overnight and I know how hard it will be to get clients. But I am not the type to give up, I never do, and I’m still happy I have only one client for now. I will get more, but is there any advice on what I should be concentrating on more. I have been in business since January of 2012. With the 5 clients that I trained since then, statistically my business is doing well.
