What is Concrete 2.0?

Great social challenges are creating increased complexity and demands for higher performance and more sustainable products from today’s concrete producers. At the same time, the concrete industry is adjusting to a period of great structural change defined by massive consolidation, vertical integration, and global growth. The economic recession that followed continues to put enormous pressure on volumes and profits.

Producers can master this new environment more quickly, cost-effectively, and easily than any period of change they have faced beforehand. By taking advantage of the increased ubiquity, affordability, and reliability of modern technology, producers hope to dramatically lower their cost structure and improve the value of their products and services.

What is the purpose of the Concrete 2.0 Forum?

We are hosting an exclusive but public ongoing dialogue that is not only raising awareness for, but also accelerating the development and adoption of solutions to the challenges that define this new paradigm.

Who is the Concrete 2.0 Forum for?

The Forum is comprised of representatives who intend to be active participants in this open dialogue. Within the concrete producer community, the Forum is for management, operations, IT, planning, and finance. The Forum is for suppliers of raw materials, services, equipment, and software to the industry. The Forum is for buyers and users of concrete.

Who is behind the Concrete 2.0 Forum?

We were founded by Adam Winnick and Bernie Benson of iCrete LLC, a provider of data-driven decision making and integration software to professional concrete producers globally. This Forum is an outgrowth of discussions they had with customers and partners who recognized the need for an open and active dialogue. The Forum is administered by a Managing Board comprised of iCrete, these customers, and partners.
