A networking community for Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Professionals to connect and share knowledge and resources.

Originally intended for users of Autodesk software programs such as AutoCAD Architecture & MEP, Revit Structure and MEP, 3D Studio Max Design, Maya, Civil3D, Inventor, and SoftImage. We welcome everyone in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Design, Education, Manufacturing, Digital Entertainment Creation, BIM, IPD, GIS, Programming and all related technologies who use Autodesk products or a combination of Autodesk products and software from other developers. Postings of job openings and jobs wanted are allowed in the proper subgroup. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. ADSK is the NASDAQ ticker symbol for Autodesk. ACAD appears to be an abandoned trademark of Autodesk.

This group is not officially affiliated with any software development company or user group. Our logo shows a linked chain in the form of the letters CAD over the symbol for man.

The group was founded by Emmanuel Garcia and is run in conjunction with a team of experts and in collaboration with several other LinkedIn groups and websites. The emphasis here is not so much on specific software tools but on solving problems and networking.

You are welcome to make comparisons with other software programs as well as introduce outside resources such as blogs and websites, provided you do so in an informative fashion that fosters internal group discussion and communication, in a manner that is not overly commercial or negative. You are also welcome to post jobs wanted and jobs offered ads provided you do so in the proper sub-groups.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) encouraged by the management team include LISP, Object ARX, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), BIM, Modeling, Business Development, Social Media, Marketing and Discussions in foreign languages including Spanish, Portuguese and German and possibly others. « less
