Group Guidelines

With all the changes being made to the groups on LI, this seems like a good opportunity to share with you some group posting guidelines that will help all of us benefit from our shared knowledge and expertise.

Please make sure your posts commit to the following…

1. Stay on group topic. Make sure your headings and discussions make it clear you’re speaking about writing, publishing, or marketing books.

2. Do not overtly promote yourself. While adding a link in your discussion to your website or blog post will be permitted, creating posts that simply market yourself or your services will not be allowed. This includes marketing your own books and programs or sending private solicitation messages to group members.

3. Be polite, courteous, and respectful. Constructive criticism is expected and welcome, but insults and put downs will not be tolerated. In this group, this is not a problem and makes me so happy =)

Any post that disregards the group guidelines will be removed promptly and possibly without warning.

Book Writing, Self Publishing, and Marketing for Business People was created as a venue for people to seek help with their book project and receive the advice and experience of others successful in their field.
