The British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) was formed with the intent to educate the public on the practice of kinesiology, act as a resource for those seeking service from a kinesiologist, and provide an opportunity for practicing professionals to network and extend their knowledge of the field.

Since 1991, BCAK has been an incorporated society under the B.C. Society Act governed by a volunteer board of directors. Currently over 500 kinesiologists serving the public and major employers such as ICBC and Worksafe, are practicing members.

BCAK is provincial affiliate of the CKA/ACK (Canadian Kinesiology Alliance) which is a not-for-profit corporation that promotes the advancement of, and advocates for, the profession of kinesiology in Canada. « less
