Any suggestions on where to sell handmade items on the web. I've been with Etsy for a while now with absolutely no success. They no longer just sell "handmade" items.

Cari, You have some beautiful pieces, I didn't have any luck on Esty myself but I've used Ebay for several years and it's finally paying off. I have my .99 auctions to draw in the lookers and I have an Ebay store with the more expensive product which we make our money on. That being said some of the .99 auctions go up in the 20's. Best og luck as your glassware is beautiful Rick

I have been on Artfire for 2 years and no luck. I have to change shops since we had to change our business name but it is a hassel to do that so I may just shut it down. I started eBay with one item that did not sell. I can't afford to sell for pennies on eBay. Any suggestions

Has anyone tried putting up their own website? Although I haven't tried selling on Etsy, I have (without any luck) tried eBay. I have tried other sites like those without any success either. However, since putting up my own website in August, I have had success. It does take some work getting your name out there, but it is well worth it in the end. The best place for doing your own website, that I have found, is Weebly.com. They offer FREE web hosting or your can also go with a, very reasonably priced, paid hosting. If you want to see what a Weebly website looks like, visit mine...www.timeflownbye.com.

Cari, your glass is beautiful. I had no success selling on Etsy but I am always buying there, I currently have a shop at Ruby Plaza but not sold anything there either...!!
We do have a lovely new web site, as our original provider was bought out by another company and we could no longer access the web site for either updating or taking it down which was what we wanted to do, that was The Silver Lodge we were well known and sales were good, now no one knows us under our new name Kydo Jewellery
http://www.kydojewellery.co.uk/ it is just like starting over, we chose Go Daddy as our new host and they seem ok, the web site is built with Dream Weaver.

Pam, Your Web site is very nice and professional looking. When you stated it took some work to get the name out there, what is all involved. I feel it's about time to do something like that but honestly are not that computer savey. We've done real well on Ebay but then our price point is different. I would like to do more higher end products somewhere else. Happy Easter & God Bless Rick
