    Yes and I think the main thing for ecommerce, and I hit this with every ecommerce client, is getting through that the page content for each product needs to be unique. Especially when they have product lists in the thousands, they struggle to find a solution to get them changed in an appropriate time scale for a reasonable cost. All good fun......

    Good list Thomas, in regards to content specifically. Site structure (information architecture) mistakes - such as making too many pages come directly off of the home page as if they all had the same priority level gives search engines the wrong signals. Putting the same product in too many different categories and too many links on the navigation (not giving the user the benefit of the doubt that they can find the items they are looking for) are some other major eCommerce mistakes.
