2012 ISAC AIMBE Fellows
ISAC Leadership is pleased to announce that two ISAC members have been inducted as 2012 Fellows of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). Gary Durack and Masanobu Yamamoto were inducted as Fellows on February 20, 2012 during AIMBE’s annual event in Washington, DC. AIMBE Fellows represent the top two percent of bioengineers in the USA. Please join ISAC leadership in congratulating Gary Durack and Masanobu Yamamoto. Their accomplishments bring honor and recognition to cytometry and the Society.
Gary Durack, CEO and President of iCyt, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America was chosen for outstanding and sustained accomplishments in transforming research oriented cell sorting technologies into viable tools for the biotechnology industry.
Masanobu Yamamoto, Life Electronics Division of Sony Corporation of America was chosen for outstanding contributions to advanced detection technologies and for his seminal contribution to the design, advancement and manufacture of microfluidic devices.
