A 1-week Custom Binder Marathon
Developers!
Many of us have utilized the various points of extensibility of Asp.Net MVC, and created our own custom Model Binders, Filters, Action Results etc etc. While most of them are usually domain-specific, some might be generic enough to be shared with the general public. That would benefit beginners, who are using the built-in classes and don't know how, or are afraid to, introduce their own, and perhaps more advanced developers could learn something new as well.
What I suggest is, starting with today (Monday the 31st), those who wish to participate will write one blog post each day till the end of the week, devoted to a class that extends Asp.Net MVC. It maybe a someone else's code, borrowed and perhaps adapted for your needs, but you still have to explain how it works (expecting newbie audience). Of course, please post the links to your blog posts here. At the very least, you can just paste your code in this discussion, with minimal comments. When the Marathon ends, we can blog the links to each other's posts, so that our readers can grab all our stuff.
So, who's with me on it?

Artem S. • So, I finally got myself together and posted the first post in the series. It contains both a custom Model Binder and a custom Value Provider, and illustrates the difference. Read it here: http://ivonna.biz/blog/2011/11/2/custom-aspnet-model-binders-series,-part-1-now-how.aspx -- and please share it with the world!
