Zagope - Construções e Engenharia S.A. is a company specialized in public construction. Since its foundation, in 1967, Zagope has participated in the development and modernization process of the infrastructure network in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
In 1988 Zagope was acquired by the Andrade Gutierrez Group, a Brazilian group with an outstanding international presence in the public construction, as well as in the telecommunications, infrastructure concessions and energy sectors.
As of 2004, after being put in charge of internationalizing the Andrade Gutierrez Group, Zagope opened up new markets in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. This process made it possible to substantially improve its portfolio, business volumes and results.
Zagope has been distinguished with some awards, as for the Outstanding Structure Award (IABSE - International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering) for the execution of the Madeira Airport extension. Zagope was considered the 4rd Best and Biggest in the Construction Sector, according to a study by Exame magazine, and is one of the Best Large Companies to Work For.
