XiO Photonics is an innovative company with a strong competence in products based on Integrated Optics, Light-on-a-chip. XiO Photonics primarily focuses on the design and assembly of modules that incorporate the optical chips for products in visible light applications.
The products of XiO Photonics are based on the Integrated Laser-Beam Combiner (ILBC) that combines up to 8 visible wavelengths from fiber-pigtailed lasers into one single mode and polarization maintaining fiber. The first applications for this product are Confocal Microscopy, Flow-cytometry and foodsorting. All applications where different visible laser colors needs to be combined benefit from this technology. It increases the compactness, the stability, the polarization, etc of most optical combiner setups. The ILBC enables new markets for these applications as it support a more compact and very stable device opening up complete new markets.
