Volunteer Kalamazoo

Volunteer Kalamazoo builds capacity for effective local volunteering, connects people with opportunities to volunteer and promotes volunteerism in our community.

Programs and services for nonprofit organizations include: Volunteer program assessment and consulting, volunteer management training, volunteer recruitment and referral services, recognition programs, including annual STAR (Sharing Time And Resources) Awards, and BoardConnect® Southwest Michigan (a nonprofit board training and matching service that builds the leadership skills of nonprofit organizations and community members).

Programs and services for volunteers include on-line resources at www.volunteerkalamazoo.org that include a searchable database of current volunteer opportunities, access to volunteer listings in our annual Volunteer Guidebook publication and the People Need You column published in the Kalamazoo Gazette, VolunTEENS, Michigan Student Service Award, Student Athlete Summer Volunteer Program, Days of Service, and Kalamazoo Neighborhood Safety Initiative.
