We are a development organization, a gathering place and the focal point for reinventing coastal tourism in Denmark.
We focus on knowledge and emphasize ideas and recommendations are implemented and translated into practical action. The Knowledge Centre acts as a facilitator for new initiatives and projects that require separate funding. This is done through the development of strong networks to stakeholders and research communities nationally and internationally.
Through enhanced innovation and product development the objective is to reverse the decline in growth in coastal tourism. in order to achieve our goal of quality improvement the destinations and companies will be our focus.
The Knowledge Centre:
contributes to stakeholders, businesses as well as value chains and destinations, where those businesses are embedded. Based on qualified knowledge we enable the coastal tourism industry to make important strategic decisions.
contributes to the building of knowledge and data in order to give companies and other relevant local, regional and national tourism stakeholders an improved basis for making investments in marketing and product development. Examples of data are data on sales, customer satisfaction and tourists' needs and wants.
Initiates development projects and feasibility studies in selected areas that create a coherence between customer needs, more effective marketing and more distinctive products
