Universal College of Learning or UCOL is an award winning, Government-funded Institute of Technology with three campuses in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand.
Our Vision: Together creating great futures through innovative education and training.
UCOL is distinctive because of:
• Our emphasis on student success, encouraging even the most hesitant learner,
• the quality of our student experience, and
• Our belief that successful study changes lives, by earning a qualification, getting a job, or gaining an improved sense of self-worth.
We are committed to innovation, in teaching and learning as well as student support services. We were an early leader in developing high technology Learning Hubs, giving students access to computers, wireless connections and spacious study areas.
We also provide the best in student support services. They include our Student Resource Centre in Palmerston North and our UCOL-wide Personal Education Plan, to help students map their study. Both have won national awards for innovation and have been adopted by other teaching institutions.
We offer a broad range of courses and programmes, including foundation and certificate programmes, diplomas, degrees and some post-graduate options.
