Our approach to environmental management focuses on managing our riskswhilst equally importantly, delivering environmental results, cost efficienciesand brand differentiation for the business. We recognise our responsibilitiesand our ability to positively influence the industries and communities in whichwe operate.
In line with our Global Environment Policy commitments, we endeavour toembed environmental considerations into all we do.
In 2010, we developed a new approach to environmental management,customising strategies, goals and objectives to drive performance, based onfive key elements:
- conducting an analysis of who our key stakeholders are and identifying their needs;
- developing mechanisms for embedding environmental capability in our people;
- systems and processes to enable execution of our strategic plan;
- articulated and business relevant environmental goals;
- objectives, projects and initiatives that will deliver results.
