In 2005 ThinHost® pioneered the Hosted Virtual Desktop, or HVD, which is now a faction of the Cloud Computing revolution. HVD computing is presently the only viable method by which most organisations can transition to the Cloud, primarily because it supports the virtualisation of legacy, non-Cloud, software applications (e.g. Microsoft® Office) and is therefore a genuine alternative to on-premise, server-based networks.
