The mission of the Sigma Kappa Foundation is to lead, educate and inspire Sigma Kappa members and society through educational programming and philanthropic endeavors.
Founded as a trust in 1962, Sigma Kappa Foundation was incorporated in 1989 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Since its inception, the Foundation has granted
more than $1 million in Alzheimer’s disease research
and psychosocial grants to investigators and practitioners
who are on the front lines in the fight against this
debilitating disease.
Additionally, the Foundation gives grants to support
the educational and leadership programs of
Sigma Kappa Sorority, as well as scholarships
for eligible Sigma Kappa members.
Developing young leaders, providing access to higher
education, and addressing important issues facing
college women and society; these endeavors are
important to Sigma Kappa Foundation and have been
the guiding spirit of our work for more than 49 years.
