In 1752, Benjamin Franklin joined a group of prominent citizens to establish what is now the oldest successful property & casualty insurance company in the country. He named the company The Philadelphia Contributionship for the Insurance of Houses from Loss by Fire.
The "hand-in-hand" fire mark is our historic symbol.
